Why is my candle lamp not dimming?
This is most likely because the globe needs to be replaced. If it is not replaced it will stop turning on all together. Refer to candle lamp instructions on how to change the globe.
Why is my candle tunnelling?
All candles have a memory. The first burn is the most important one. If when lit, the candles’ wax pool does not reach the edge of the jar, it will tunnel the rest of the way down the jar. It is best when lighting a new candle, to let it burn for as long as possible or at least until the wax pool reaches the edge of the jar.
Why does my candle keep going out?
If the wick is cut too short, it will be sufficated by the wax and go out. Another reason could be because of drafts around the candle that can blow the flame and cause it to go out. A third reason could be that the wick was not cut before it was lit. To receive a good, consistent burn all candle wicks must be cut (with a wick trimmer) to 3mm before being lit.
Why is my candle not lighting?
Most likely because the wick needs to be cut. If the flame cannot catch onto the ‘unburnt wood’ underneath the ‘burnt wood’, it will not light. A wooden wick must be cut (with a wick trimmer) to 3 mm before being lit.
Why can’t I smell my reed diffuser?
It could be because the reeds have not been flipped. Reed sticks should be flipped every 3-4 days for a consistent smell. It also could be because the reed sticks need to be replaced. Old sticks get clogged with oil, so sticks must be replaced every 3 months.
